Well, back to the grind of schooling and working for us mortals. Hmm, not exactly for me anyway :-) , coz I'm still on leave. Still, am waking up pretty early to ferry the kids to school - the first time for the IIS school in Ipoh anyway. Haven't really gotten the chance (or probably attributed to plain laziness) to sort out my work emails, probably in the hundreds after so many days already, sigh, sigh ..... Ha-ha, see no evil, do no evil :-)
Overall, it's been a pretty quiet CNY holidays, although we have had a few car loads of folks (my in-laws') coming up from Tapah. Ha-ha, and Viv was lamenting the lack of lepak-ing activities over last weekend. Guess she's stucked to me these few days, but at least we get to consistently grab some breakfast after dropping the kids at the school. I can really get use to this laid-back life-style, ha-ha, and speaking of laid-back, Ipoh is THE place to be ! Didn't realize Ipoh elderly folks are so active and health-conscious until I saw how packed it was at Polo Ground (a big recreational park along Jalan Tambun, and the kids' school is just adjacent to it), even after 8 am ! Good for them.
Had a good time on Sunday morning, playing a pretty pleasant round of F.O.C. golf in Meru with Viv, ST and Andrew (Thanks Andrew !). Surprisingly it was not packed at all, even it was a Sunday ! Good for us though. The course was very well taken care of, and actually I've had some difficulty adapting to the sometimes slick greens, having gotten used to the bumpier greens in Kulim. Kudos to ST for setting a personal record of 3 consecutive pars :-). Me, myself, it was a fair day with the driver finally back to its normal accuracy, but as usual, one other aspect had to be sacrificed (I am a mere recreational golfer, remember ?), i.e. my pitch and putt. Duh ....... Anyway, hope for another session in RPGC and will definitely put in another round at the Par-3 course in Clearwater with Viv.
